Becca Willow Moss is an advocate for using artistic outlets to express the emotional landscape of the body. As a queer filmmaker, director, actor, singer, photographer, writer, and multimedia artist, she employs all art forms to communicate with others. She is a classically trained soprano, has her MA from the University of Toronto, and her recent films have brought her to festivals, such as TIFF, VIFF and Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinema. Becca Willow yearns to empower others by inclusive artistic output, outreach, hyper-stylized aesthetics and creating community-based films.
LIMBO: shot on 8mm, 35mm and 16mm film-stock, this metatheatrical short focuses on religion and sexual violence. Approximately 8 minutes long, sponsored by Kodak Film.
My route is through meta-theatre, as this project’s primary character addresses the audience directly. This impact forces others to confront the character and turn inward, allowing audiences to feel confronted within the ether of cinemas.
