Lighter's Twist

Title: "Lighter's Twist"
Description: The animated film "Lighter's Twist" is the creation of 14-year-old schoolboy from Kyiv, crafted in December 2023. At the heart of this animated tale is an unusual dialogue about smoking and the random events that turn ordinary moments upside down.
The story unfolds on the factory premises, where employees are gearing up for the workday. One of them, a smoker, initiates a conversation about whether smoking kills, engaging in a discussion with another colleague. An argument about Jeanne Calment, who smoked until the age of 117, arises. However, the response comes in the form of a suggestion to read Allan Carr's book, "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking."
During the dialogue, the smoker's lighter fails, and he turns to a truck driver for help. Holding a bottle of vodka, the driver responds that he doesn't smoke because smoking kills. In subsequent scenes, the smoker attempts to light up at a traffic light, but his lighter fails again, delaying his crossing the road. Meanwhile, a truck driven by a non-smoking driver crashes into the crowd crossing the road.
This moment becomes fateful, ironically demonstrating that even an imperfect lighter can unexpectedly become a savior. The film "Lighter's Twist" will show viewers that sometimes established truths don't always hold true, and life is full of unexpected turns.
