Director Biography - Okechukwu Oku

Okechukwu Oku is a Nigerian movie producer, director and cinematographer. He was born in Enugu, and is the son of popular 1970s musician Goddy Oku and Winifred Oku. 2nd in a family of 11 . With a penchant for singing, Okey Oku immersed himself in music, veering and mastering the art of music video directing. Under his belt include the top performers from Eastern Nigerian act Flavour and SeleBobo prominent among them. His love for cinematography grew stronger thus leading to his gradual and inevitable venture into film. "Life in a Day" is a film that delves into the complexities of identity, memory, and the human experience. When our protagonist wakes up pregnant and with no recollection of how she got there, she is forced to embark on a journey of self-discovery that challenges everything she thought she knew about herself.

Through this story, I aim to explore the fragility of human memory and the power of the unknown to shape our lives. I am drawn to the protagonist's resilience and determination as she navigates a reality that is both familiar and strange, and I am excited to bring this gripping and emotional ride to the screen.

My vision for "Life in a Day" is to create a film that is both a thrilling mystery and a deeply personal exploration of the human condition. I aim to craft a narrative that is both suspenseful and introspective, with a strong visual style that complements the protagonist's disorienting and transformative journey.

Ultimately, "Life in a Day" is a film about the search for truth and the power of the human spirit to overcome even the most daunting challenges. I am honored to bring this story to life and to share it with audiences around the world.
