I am Shameela, daughter of Tella Mohammad, born in 1994 in Kabul province. I started my primary and secondary education in 2001 and completed it in 2016. During my studies, I had a strong interest in learning computer skills and English and participated in various courses. A few years ago, I also completed a three-month course in video photography at Roya Film, supported by USAID.
My experiences in the film industry are quite diverse. I worked as an assistant script supervisor and costume designer in two seasons of a TV series, which was a very educational experience for me. Additionally, I collaborated with an Australian woman for three years on small documentary films as a script supervisor. So far, I have directed three short films, each presenting its own challenges and achievements.
As a filmmaker, I have always strived to reflect my unique and creative perspective on social and cultural issues in my works. I believe that by telling local stories and showcasing the realities of my people's lives, I can play an important role in cultural development and the advancement of filmmaking art. I hope to continue on this path, create more works, and contribute to the growth and development of the film industry in Afghanistan.
