Director Biography - Jessica Ahenkorah

Jessica Ahenkorah is a recent graduate from Old Dominion University, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. Jessica has always had a love for entertainment but has honed in on her skills within the past year. She has always had a passion for content creation but just recently extended her interest into animation. Just three days after purchasing her first tablet, she began the production of her first animated short, "Liar, Liar", a video that may be found on her Youtube Channel, Jessleaveittome. Jessica is currently learning the ropes through the industry at Nickelodeon Animation Studios as an intern, and one day wishes to be the creator of an all-black animated series!

Director Statement

This was the first animated video I had ever done! I've always had a love for cartoons but I was inspired to get into animation after watching a couple of YouTube animators. I didn't even know I could draw but I was incredibly determined. That same day, I downloaded animate cc, purchased a drawing tablet, and three days later began work on this project. It took me a month to complete but I got it done!
