Scriptwriter, Director and Dominican Producer born in the city of Santo Domingo. considered the First Dominican woman to write, produce and direct a feature film. She graduated from The London Film School in 2001. At the beginning of her career she produced TV commercials and feature films for national and international companies. After this first stage she dedicates herself exclusively to the cinema, making the Line Production of several Dominican feature films such as "Perico Ripiao" (Dir. Angel Muñiz), the highest grossing Dominican film to date, "Peaches" (Dir. Hector Valdez) , as well as in international productions such as "Lost City" directed by Andy García, "The Truth" and numerous independent projects of companies from Europe and Asia.
Her opera Prima LA HIJA NATURAL won the Audience Award at the 27th Chicago Latino Film Festival, Best Fiction Feature Film at the San José Film Festival, Audience Award at the 4th Dominican Global Film Festival, among others. Her second feature film CRISTO REY was Official Selection of the Toronto Intl. Film Festival 2013. Both films were Official Representative of the Dominican Republic at the Oscars. In 2018 she premiered her third feature film JUANITA which story focuses on the challenge of returning for a Dominican emigrant and her fourth film, A STATE OF MADNESS, won best film at the Peachtree Village International Film Festival in 2020. She currently has an upcoming film, MILLY, the first Dominican musical film based on the life of the Queen of Merengue Milly Quezada, and another in post-production, AIRE, which received the "Fantastic Latido" award at the Marché du Film de Cannes 2023.
