“If I could earn a living as a daydreamer, my life would be made.”
Lindsay Clift is a writer of more than a dozen short films, 6 of which have been produced, as well as multiple pilots and feature screenplays. Collage artistry in her youth informed her abilities as an editor in both knowledge and composition. The parts create the whole and every piece should have a purpose. She has edited multiple commercials, music videos, short films, web series and pilots. All of these talents are only rivaled by and inform her visual excellence in storytelling. An innovative and inspiring Director, she isn’t afraid to take calculated risks. Preferring to spend extra time in prep, she likes to test theories that push limits and create fresh, evocative visual experiences.
Girls just wanna have fun and what epitomizes luxury: These were the seeds of thought that grew into this commercial. We shot two versions of this commercial. One where the girl in the trunk is kidnapped for a bachelorette weekend and the other where it was two friends wanting to do something exhilarating and dangerous. I wanted a twist on a normal commercial. Something that really pushes the idea of advertising into a more edgy short film type experience.
