Director Statement

Lately I have been getting more interested in the human story, and I have wanted to do a film about some aspect of mental health. My teenage daughter Corina faced struggles in her life, and I felt powerless to really help her at times. When she started skydiving last year, I began to chronicle the journey with my camera. Once I saw the profound impact it was having on her, and how important the relationship with the other girls became in the endeavor, I really felt compelled to tell this amazing story. Thus, the idea for this short film began to take shape. It also inspired me to start learning this strange and exciting sport and the filming was done during this time. I feel I am uniquely positioned to not only witness the progress and film it, but experience it myself first hand, and bring it to life in the form of this emotional film
