Letter to society

The film deals with child labour out of the childrens perspective. Following a boy who lost its parents and its forced cearing for himselve. The film calls for attention within society!

The film is part of the series "Letters from somewhere" This is an ongoing project by the Bagamoyo Film Collective. The short film series deals with intercultural learning through filmmaking. The debates within the process of creation are about certain concepts, differences and similarities. From specific details of locality to general assumptions, the web-series deals with a variety of topics, places and views. The episodes are results of shared experiences by artists, anthropologists and filmmakers.

Director Biography - Mabuga Lucas

Mabuga Lucas is a Tanzanian filmaker. He has completed his diploma in media studies in 2018 at TaSuBa, Bagamoyo College for Arts and Culture. He currently studies theatre and film production on bachelor level at University of Dodoma/Tanzania. During his studies he as worked on several film projects within and outside Tanzania, worked as a photographer and editor.
