“Letters to prison: windows inside walls” (Documentary, English version)

In 2019, nine Catalan independence activists and politicans were jailed for organizing a self-determination referendum.
In 2021, the Spanish Government pardoned them, however, dozens of court cases are still open to other political figures and activists.
During the more than 3 years in prison they served, they received thousands of letters. Letters that were “windows inside walls”.

Adolfo Estrada :

Photography Director and co-scriptwriter for the short documentary “De Función” (2006). Awarded as 2nd Best National Documentary at the 4th annual DOCUMENTA Festival of Madrid, 2007. https://youtu.be/TRDvhlYn8wU In 2011 he directed the documentary “Casa da Bôxa”, which portrays the creative process of singer Magda Mendes for her album “Casa da Bôxa”. The film was presented at festivals and movie theaters in Portugal and the Netherlands. In 2013, co-directed and edited the documentary “Agua Carioca Diarios” at the request of the Ooze Architects Study. A short documentary that describes the problem of water in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2016, thanks to the invitation of the Dutch photographer, Marcel Theodor Bosch, he traveled to Cuba with the challenge of carrying out an audiovisual project during one week’s time.
