Letters to prison: windows inside walls

Through the correspondence that a diverse range of people has sent to the Catalan political prisoners, the documentary denounces the violation of fundamental human rights that the Spanish government and the Spanish justice system have infringed on the pro-independence leaders, who had already spent two years in pre-trial detention, and recently sentenced to 9 to 13 years. The documentary also wants to warn about the dire situation of civil and political rights in Spain and the future of a European Union that keeps silent in the face of these violations.

After 3 years of been living in the Catalan city, where he collaborated in several documentaries and a fiction film, he moved to Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In his first years in the Dutch city, he dedicated himself to do photography and video for dancers, artists, and architects.

Later when the economic crisis hit the art scene he moved to his other passion: cooking. Together with some friends, he started a small cultural center and Mexican restaurant. There he cooked as well as screened films from Spanish-speaking countries.
During this period he managed to make two short documentaries. Since December 2018, he adopted a second nationality, becoming a Dutch citizen.

Now with the COVID situation hitting the restaurant's sector, he is planning to resume his photography and video work.
