Letter of Truth is based on true stories that were relayed to the director within the past few years. Alarmed by frequency of these stories of betrayal, infidelity, and heartbreak I wanted to make a short film that addresses this situation. Rather than focusing on the direct conflict with the romantic partner, this film places emphasis upon how complicated feelings around these issues can be, especially when it involves more than the immediate person affected.
Nina comes across a shocking situation and she must reflect on how to navigate through these circumstances. She also must consider how her choices can impact others, such as her son and future child. It would be easy to show the couple having a big argument, throw in the towel, and walk away, and yet it's so much more than that one event.
