Let’s Go 48 Hours- It's okay to be dirty for a day
At the beginning of the season, the children went to Meinong, Kaohsiung, to prepare for a long stay and integrate into rural life. The initial task was to weed the corn shoots, plant seeds and make scarecrows. Everyone was very happy at the beginning, however they completely drained of energy in the end. The hard work of farming is far beyond their imagination. Fortunately, there is still time to play after the task, they catch a loach together in the crop field, it turns out that the laughter can make people forget the fatigue brought by hard work! The project "Let’s Go 48 Hours" enriches children's minds through various outdoor tasks designed to bring them into a realm filled with fantasy, freedom, reclusiveness and tranquility.
"Let’s Go! 48 Hours" is one of only a few reality television programs in Taiwan in which children are truly 'in charge'. Each season features a new set of 10 kids selected from across the country who learn through each unhosted episode to work as a team and accomplish a variety of challenging assignments.
The unique theme chosen for each season is meant to enlighten and inspire young viewers. "Camping" and "Farm Life" were the themes for the show's two most-recent seasons.
The assignments given to the teams put participants in various outdoor challenges that impart important life skills such as self-protection, responsibility, cooperation, empathy, concern for others, and problem solving.
With so many children today spending their playtime hours on smartphone games, kids are exploring the outdoors and playing and talking with their friends much less than before. No wonder an increasing number of children today face interpersonal and social difficulties. "Oh! Go 48 Hours" helps reconnect kids with the great outdoors. Young audiences join the participants as they set their phones and video games aside and step outside to investigate and embrace a multitude of fun, new, and enriching experiences. The participants take on and finish all of their challenging assignments in delightfully unscripted, fun, and satisfying ways.

Since it is a reality TV show, the development of storyline is unpredictable. Therefore, the viewers will not be able to guess the outcome, helping them pay more attention to the details and allowing them to enjoy the whole process. Besides exploring nature, the “people” in the reality TV show are also one of the key factors deciding the quality of the program. To select the right people from the applicants, who not only have their own distinctive character as well as the ability to express themselves, requires a lot of wisdom. Our show participant selection is very unique. Every kid selected must have at least one specialty, for example bicycle repair, rock climbing, boat sailing, rafting, fire starting, carpentering, cooking, swimming and diving, tree climbing, and insect recognition, etc. We allow children to demonstrate their own skills in different episodes. In addition, through activities such as acting, drawing, speeches, and writing, we let the children tell their own stories in their own way, and that is how we find the children who are able to express themselves deeply.
