Let Love is a short narrative film inspired by the memoir and album of the same title by Common. In this story a young girl, silenced by trauma, finds her voice again through the power of music and memory. THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS.

SADÉ CLACKEN JOSEPH is a Caribbean-American filmmaker, photographer and singer from the Bronx, New York. She is the recipient of the 2016 DGA John Frankenheimer Fellowship and Inaugural 30 Under 30 Caribbean-American Emerging Leader and Change Maker Award for which she was honored at Obama's White House. Her film Knight (2018) was the first narrative film produced by Spotify via their Black Girl Magic platform. Her documentary work on Common’s Hope and Redemption Prison Tour has been featured on VICE, Variety, and Rolling Stone. Currently, Sadé is directing a feature length, Atlanta-based, music documentary entitled Trap Jazz (2020) featuring T.I, Terrace Martin and Quincy Jones and is in development on her first feature narrative Shteez (2021) a coming-of-age musical dramedy set in the Bronx. She is the CEO and co-founder of GapToof Entertainment, a multi-media
production house in Los Angeles. GapToof’s first project, which she co-directed and produced, Ponyboi recently premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival where it was named one of the “not to be missed short films” by Forbes.
