Les Chats de rue Lepic
Gabrielle had met Ramon when she visited Paris, searching for a painter to make a portrait of her dog. She found an atelier in Montmartre of a painter that loved to paint animals and especially cats. They live together for twenty years until Ramon’s health makes it necessary for him to be hospitalized for months. Under the pressure of an uncertain future, the couple decides to get married but the wedding has to be done in the hospital and due to the covid restrictions, only the presence of the best man and woman is allowed besides the medical staff. This ceremony, not usual for the French bureaucracy, took place in 2021 in a hospital in Paris between a German woman and a Catalan painter, perhaps, the greatest painter of cats.

Thodoris Pistiolas is a Greek filmmaker, visual artist and composer. He studied arts in the Fine Arts School of Athens. He did his master in Arts et Technologies del Image and his cinema studies in Paris 8 university. He has made 6 short fiction films 2 music videos and a documentary.
The documentary started from my interest on the work of a painter which I met in Paris during my first visit. Years later, the process of making this documentary led me to being a photographer for his marriage as it was the only way to visit him in the hospital where he spent the pandemic period.
