The project, which was financed through the Paulo Gustavo de Guarulhos Law, presents a topic of extreme relevance in environmental issues, based on climate change, health and decent housing for indigenous peoples.
Heritage of Tomorrow, follows the beauty and exuberance of the Atlantic Forest located in the municipality of Guarulhos and how the irregular disposal of solid waste increasingly invades the Environmental Protection Area. According to Vanessa Correa, director of the short film: “the dispute over territory turns into coexistence, as is the case of the indigenous reserve, which was previously a place to dispose of hospital waste and currently, the ethnic groups residing in the territory are working hard to earth healing. This action goes against what is happening in the city, where society contributes to degradation.”
The short also features stop motion animation sections as a way of reminding us of the past and imagining possible futures.
