Leesa Haroun Qawasmeh is an Arab American student filmmaker based in Orange Country, Southern California.
She is currently a senior at El Dorado High School, part of the Digital Media Arts Academy for Film & Broadcasting as a 3rd year student. She is also an active member of the FilmEd Academy of the Arts as a second year student.
Outside the world of film, she is an active vocalist of the EDHS Choral Music Program, part of the Advanced Treble / Women's Ensemble as a Mezzo-Soprano.
Outside school, she is also proud and an active member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program of Orange County, where she has been serving as a high school mentor at Ruby Drive Elementary for the last 3 years, completing her 4th and final year with the BBBS.
Her plan after high school is to attend Fullerton College for 2 years for and transfer to a 4 year University to major and pursue film. During and after her education at Fullerton, she plans on taking screenwriting , she plans to not only continue to grow in film during college, but she would like to continue choir as well, and is even considering taking on theater for the first time.
In her free time, she also does photography, editing, writing, cinematography, practices her vocals.
In the world of art, especially in media, Leesa is a filmmaker who is not afraid to take on any sort of challenge in film, even when it seems unlikely to happen, never losing hope in a project, even when all odds are against her. Every little detail, the most unique creativity, quality, passion, rarity, and most of all, opportunities, are all everything to Leesa.
Under film, she is primarily a cinematographer, assistant director, editor, writer, and photographer, claiming those to be her greatest strengths. Meanwhile, she is also currently practicing directing, writing, producing, editing and acting.
