Pfeiffer Kenny was born in Pretoria, South Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Film and Television from the University of the Witwatersrand. Pfeiffer fell in love with being behind the camera and is driven to explore untold authentic South African stories
The motive and vision behind the film was to explore authentic South African films. The film also explores memory and trauma. It explores stories not often highlighted during Apartheid; as name giving is an intimate act of envisioning who your child may be. And this was one again disrupted in a system that catered to one race.
