Leaves-Leaving-Left

An investigation into how drawing is an act of remembrance; and a double pun on the word "Leaves", as in leaves that can leave us behind. My drawings of leaves pin them to the page. My mother describes my father's features in words while I draw him. References are made to drawing as an way to expand time; how the drawn line on paper mimics a gentle touch on the cheek; and how writing and drawing overlap. The story of the last leaf and the soundtrack to the Autumn Leaves weave in between the drawings.
