Director Biography - Jorge Garcia

Jorge Garcia (Lima, Perú) began his artistic way doing some music before leaving secondary school. But he chose to follow a professional way by self-teaching 3d animation, post-production and visual effects.
Through the years he became interested in 2d animation and too he begin to retake that first strong passion about the music.
That's the reason why he decided to combine these artistic expressions and bring together his compositions and his own stories through animated video clips.
"Learning to Fly" is his very first animated short film but he is currently producing and composing new material for future animations.

Director Statement

"Learning to Fly" is a sci-fi adventure story set on the mid of the desert and part of our outer space.
This story is about learning and try despite inexperience, fail, crash your spaceship and try again. It's about to play like a child and embrace your most wild dreams, even if that dreams happen out of our planet.
