Learning from Haa Aani
As if the goal with wilderness is to tame and conquer; North America has very few untouched areas. Referred to by many names, Alaska is known to be one of the last remaining swaths of wilderness despite numerous attempts to colonize. This land is a story of the resilience of both indigenous people and the wildlife that calls this place Haa Aani (Our land). I headed north to learn from the land with hopes of understanding how a place like this refuses to assimilate.

Brady Clarke is a Photographer and Filmmaker from the United States whose work focuses on using visual media as a medium of communicating the natural world because images have the ability to transcend language, geographic, and socioeconomic barriers. A photograph has the incredible potential to tell an entire story without using a single word and, thanks to the digital age, can reach virtually anyone.
With formal training as a marine, estuarine, and freshwater biologist, Brady brings a passion and analytical mindset with him into the field on each assignment. Balancing science with art is a delicate dance.
Brady's goal is that the work he creates can spark curiosity, compassion, and concern for our natural world. We can all be stewards of our planet, and by using our individual talents and platforms there is always hope for change.
