Angelica Olson is an American actress, singer, dancer, model, martial artist, and emerging filmmaker. She has a Master’s Degree in Psychology: Clinical Counseling, and is an advocate for mental health and reducing the stigma of severe mental illness. She made her writing, producing, and directing debut on this topic with her short film "the RED in me". She is also very spiritual. Believing that life is meant to be lived fully and joyfully, she regularly keeps her mornings free to explore spirituality with meditating at sunrise, journaling, reading and writing poetry and screenplays, and playing her turtle pan-flute "Tortuga". Angelica revels in set life and welcomes the prospect of new opportunities to pursue her newfound love of telling meaningful stories through filmmaking.
Le Retour is a special film. It was originally created for a 1-minute micro short film contest as a way to "test the waters" in becoming a filmmaker, and more specifically, a director. After completion, Angelica felt enlightened to the prospect of filmmaking in addition to performing, and started writing her screenplay "the RED in me". This lost gem was created in 2017 and deserves to see the light, bringing simple raw awareness to the debilitating effects of rape trauma.
