"Lazzaro ed Epulone" is a musical video clip lasting 3'31'' consisting of a single very long sequence shot.
The basic idea is to meet the needs of the song, a song by the singer-songwriter Porfirio Rubirosa, whose main feature is the speed of execution of the music and the singing.
For this reason, the sequence shot was considered the most appropriate directorial choice, and the use of written signs that, in some ways, recall Bob Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues, a useful solution for the viewer in order to better understand the text. of the song.
The choice of the main protagonist, inspired by The Dude from The Big Lebowski, was determined by the need to identify a character who was a trait d’union between the rich Epulone and poor Lazzaro
The video clip was entirely self-produced by Porfirio Rubirosa and His Band and is at no cost.

Director Biography - Porfirio Rubirosa

Porfirio Rubirosa has published three records: "Fresco e Spumeggiante", "Ferragosto '68", "Un esteta al mare".
Founder with Franco Zanetti (Rockol.com) of Movimento C.A.C.C.A. (Canzone d’Amore Contro Canzone d’Autore/Love songs against art songwriting). In 2008 it has been brought to the Central Police Station because he was demonstrating in front of Teatro Ariston, where was taking place Sanremo Festival, the most important pop music festival in Italy, fighting for the reintroduction of love songs at the festival.
In 2016 he starts a tour in Italian theaters of the new show “Porfirio Rubirosa fa Skiffle!”, a mix of theater and music played with acoustic instruments made with everyday stuff easily available in each house (a double bass made with a broomstick, a washboard, saws played with a bow, coffee cans, etc…).
From 2017 he plays both with his band and, as singer and performer, with Sir Oliver Skardy, the most popular reggae music singer in Italy.
In 2017 ha makes also his first show in New York City (Usa).
In 2018 makes its debut on the renowned stage of Zelig Cabaret in Milan.
In 2018 makes also his first tour in Poland, playing in the biggest cities of the country (Warsaw, Wrocław…).
In 2019, while he his playing in Piazza degli Scacchi in Marostica (north Italy) he fakes his own death on the stage for an heart attack. Immediately the medical staff of an ambulance that was close by rush to aid and suspend the live show. The fact causes a vibrant debate, even on the media, about the boundaries that the art performance can go beyond.
