Lauren Martin is a writer, actor and sketch comedian based in Vancouver, BC.
Her sketch troupe STRAPLESS (www.straplesscomedy.com) has sold out shows in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. Lauren wrote and produced a short film for the company, "Ambiguous" which premiered at the 2017 Vancouver International Women in Film Festival and went on to screen with JFL North West, online with NSI and in Portland, Halifax and Venice, CA.
In 2018, Lauren helped devise and perform HYSTERIA in the Vancouver Fringe Festival. The show was a personal response to the #metoo movement and the show would go on to be awarded the Joanna Maratta Award and Mollie Bradley Award.
She currently teaches sketch comedy writing at Vancouver Film School.
