Laura Mannino grew up in White Plains, New York, once a home of the Revolutionary War, now the site of The Westchester, the fancy mall with an Au Bon Pain. The person most likely to be asked to watch your stuff, Laura spent her weekends and summers in youth theatre programs writing and acting in cranky adolescent plays about her cranky adolescence. She graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School. After college, Laura performed stand-up at every bar, former strip club, current yoga studio, and actual dungeons around New York.

After moving to Los Angeles, Laura wrote and starred in the short comedy Ten Minute Decade, a Hammer Museum's Open Projector Night finalist. At UCB, Laura performed improv and wrote for sketch shows in every bar, former strip club, current yoga studio, and dungeon turned parking garage around Los Angeles. Her half-hour pilot Bomb about navigating stand-up as a new mom was a PAGE Awards and Final Draft Big Break Semifinalist and Austin Film Festival Second Rounder. Laura was a Semifinalist in 2021's The Writer's Lab for her half-hour pilot Party Crashers. Her produced credits include Consulting Producer on MTV's Loveline with Amber Rose and Quibi's Sexology with Shan and Sketch Writer for Awestruck's Asshole Parents.
Laura founded the grassroots organization, Drain The NRA, which successfully pressured corporations to end their affiliation with the NRA. She also helmed Los Angeles for Warren by organizing volunteers for Elizabeth Warren's presidential campaign, which led her to work full-time as a campaign field organizer. Laura lives in Highland Park with her son, Harry, and her husband, Alex, whom she met at NYU while hunting for bars that don't card. She is very excited to get back to watching your stuff at the airport.
