Born in New York City Laura studied live action filmmaking and photography at the New School before settling in the Pacific Northwest. She began her career in the 1980’s working on music videos and creating shorts for Public Broadcasting’s Sesame Street program.
Laura Di Trapani has been making award winning independent
films, educational shorts and commercials since 1989. Di Trapani currently teaches animation, the history of animated arts and visual storytelling at Portland State University.
