Nicole Elvina is a Nigerian-Filipino film director and storyteller known for her ability to craft relatable narratives with a touch of wholesome humor. Her directorial debut, Last Minute, a Screenlife short film, was created as part of her MSc dissertation when pursuing her Master's degree in Film Production at Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos in 2023. Inspired by Hollywood blockbusters like Unfriended (2014), Searching (2018), and Missing (2023), Nicole sought to introduce the innovative Screenlife technique to Nigerian cinema. The film received critical acclaim, earning seven nominations and winning four awards, including Best Overall Film at the Pan-Atlantic University Film Festival.
Beyond her academic work, Nicole runs her own production business, VBE Productions, specializing in production of campaign videos and testimonial adverts for corporate brands and educational institutions. She believes that the most powerful stories are the most relatable ones, and her work continues to reflect this philosophy, making a lasting impact on her audience.
