Las sirenas eran hombres / Mermaids were men
"Mermaids were men" it's a phrase written by Helene Cixous a feminist philosopher that has a theoretical vision of differential feminism. This experimental video was made with the intention of interspersing the roles of the stereotypical female gender and male gender, to question toxic masculinity and the irony in it. Presenting in the first part, two naked women struggling to see who is stronger, representing the irony of male strength. While in the second part, the same masculinity is represented by using the figure of two naked women sexualizing and objectifying another women, experimenting and playing with her, while the woman feels subjugated by their masculinity.
