Landline

Socialeyez - Fixed line

The fixed line is a song made of deep bass, stubborn speakers, lunar synthesizers and a surreal lyric. An electronic track, to dance arms to heaven and eyes closed like a Native American rain dance. But it is also a photograph of the contradictions generated by the process that aims at the affirmation, certainly sacrosanct, of a new model of "body", biological and social, architectural and relational: a mainly metropolitan model that could perhaps be called "eco / equo logical "and which seems to find its flags in environmental sustainability and sexual equality. So, while the text traces the noble profile of dynamic and aware citizens of those who are committed to differentiating waste, buy organic food, replace genderless asterisks and every change of patriarchal culture, music gives voice to the animal's rattle in everyone of us who, overwhelmed by super fast data networks whose origin and purpose is not recognized, declares eternal love and virtual souls and silicone bodies. New physical and mental materials, therefore, that desperately try to water the few surviving gardens between one skyscraper and the next with a pail in the quarters of the metropolises whose old rotten pipes control the loss of millions of drops of precious water every day . The fixed line is an ice giant that dances around the fire, launches into the sky but drips a land like a promise of salvation that becomes, gradually, as expected and desired as fragile and elusive.

Director Biography - SALVATORE INSANA
