I wanted to do Lake Placid Blue as a single take because I wanted the audience to really live in David's emotions throughout the film. I wanted time for every beat of dialogue to resonate without cutting to a new frame.
I really wanted the audience to feel like David was speaking directly to them and pleading for help to a world that wasn't offering any.
