Amber Danger Johnson is a Minnesota based film and video maker. Her award winning work has screened in festivals and programs all over the world.
This film was a true dream to make:
I really wanted to make a comedy about a tarot reader, so I asked the funniest writer I know to whip up a script. Laura's script did not disappoint and was an absolute blast to bring to the screen.
She wrote the Lady Lillian part specifically for Lauren Anderson, who is a powerhouse comedy actor in Minneapolis. I asked long time collaborator and amazing talent, Clarence Wethern, to play the role of Tim, know he would knock it out of the park.
I wanted to play with a lot of saturation for the tarot sequence so having Cheri Anderson's amazing production design and Nick Hillyard's talent and artistry both behind the camera and in the color suite was a must.
Audiences are truly blown away by how vibrant this film is.
Cassie Wentlandt's keen sense of timing in the edit room keeps the audience laughing from the first moment to the last, and Stephen Letnes' amazing score punctuates the comedy and action perfectly.
This was a dream cast and crew and we hope you enjoy watching this as much as we loved making it.
