Based on a true story, “Verano Amoroso” follows two neighbors as they find love in el barrio, La Misión. Their affection and chemistry deepen as they dance closer and closer through the vibrant summer streets. A love letter to San Francisco, Mission District and its history, the film celebrates color, culture, and community through the shared joys of music and dance.

Andrea Rodriguez, is an interdisciplinary artist that intersects dance and media to create compelling narratives for film, games, theater and mixed reality. She graduated with a B.A in World Arts and Cultures/Dance Department from UCLA and received her Master of Fine Arts degree from USC, School of Cinematic Arts, Interactive Media Division. Rodriguez, danced professionally in the Viva Navidad Parade at Disney California Adventure with Viver Brasil. She is a Game Producer for the Zumba Fitness Video Games franchise which have sold over 9 million units. Rodriguez, is a recipient of the San Francisco Arts Commission, Individual Artist Grant.(2020 & 2023) She will premiere her full length multimedia dance and theater production "La Rumba No Para," a salsa love story about growing up in San Francisco that is about love, loss and addiction in the fall of 2024.
