A short film based on the story story by Hans Christian Andersen. This adaptation uses hand-painted frames animated on glass to depict the classic story with a beautiful combination of traditional animation and rotoscoping.
Made as an end of year film for my first-year at Plymouth College of Art.

Reece Morgado is a British/Chilean animator from Birmingham studying for an undergraduate Animation degree in his first year.
This is my first short-film that I animated myself using a mixture of traditional animation and rotoscoping. It was completed as a part of what was intended to be a short module before I made it something very personal to myself. The short film was dedicated to my family and in particular mis Abuela (my Grandmother) who narrated the piece for me.
