Director Biography - Michele Borelli

- ENGLISH -
After obtaining the industrial technical diploma in the audiovisual sector, I embarked on a course of study at the Fondazione Milano Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti, which ended in 2015.
In collaboration with friends and studio colleagues, I have made numerous short and medium-length fiction and documentary films, produced independently, mainly as a director and screenwriter.
The feature-length documentary PASSEPARTOUT (LA CHIAVE COMUNE) was selected at the ValdarnoCinema Film Festival 2020, subsequently had a public screening in the National Media Library of Santa Teresa, in Milan, and at the University of Milan-Bicocca, as part of the educational sciences.
PODCAST, fiction short film, and INNER PLACES, documentary short film, are my latest works, both completed in 2023.

Dopo aver conseguito il diploma tecnico industriale nel settore audiovideo, ho intrapreso un percorso di studi presso Fondazione Milano Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti, terminato nel 2015.
In collaborazione con amici e colleghi di studio, ho realizzato numerosi cortometraggi e mediometraggi di finzione e documentario, prodotti autonomamente, principalmente in qualità di regista e sceneggiatore.
Il lungometraggio documentario PASSEPARTOUT (LA CHIAVE COMUNE) è stato selezionato al ValdarnoCinema Film Festival 2020, successivamente ha avuto una proiezione pubblica nella Mediateca Nazionale di Santa Teresa, a Milano, e presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano- Bicocca, nell’ambito delle scienze educative.
PODCAST, cortometraggio fiction, e LUOGHI INTERIORI, cortometraggio documentario, sono i miei ultimi lavori, terminati entrambi nel 2023.

Director Statement

- ENGLISH -
INNER PLACES is the prototype of a long documentary that I would like to make about houses.
What I wanted to tell is not degradation or well-being, but I'm looking for it too, chasing a mystery that houses keep, and that determines people's lives and the passage of time.

LUOGHI INTERIORI è il prototipo di un documentario lungo che mi piacerebbe realizzare sulle case.
Ciò che ho voluto raccontare non è il degrado e neanche il benessere, ma lo sto cercando anch’io, inseguendo un mistero che le case mantengono, e che determina la vita delle persone e lo scorrere del tempo.
