LOST
This short film is about the disappearing of the minorities (Rakhaine) in Barguna district of Bangladesh. There used to be more 65 thousand of Rakhaing Buddhist community at the time of 1965 but now it has come down to only two thousand people spread out. The first loose in the Populating was due to the Si dor cyclone which wiped out a more than 30 thousand of the Rakhaing community living in Barguna. Among the religious communities, the Muslim constitutes of 95%, the Hindu is 2% and the Rakhine is found 3% in Barguna.
A lot of things changed from then. We faced many discriminations, had less rights, and lost many of our lands, home, treasures and temples to worship.
In current time, there are not many villages left like there used to. Many left to the capital seeking for jobs others sold their valuables and went to abroad or our neighboring country Myanmar. When I was young I used to hear stories about the people who used to own acres of land, help the poor in need or even who fought for the countries freedom. Where are they now? Some has even lost their names from the freedom fighters list, just because of being a minority?
This is a story of the people who have lost their rights, this is the story of a community which is dying, and this is a story about a boy who wonders what will happen to him and his generation to come.

Professionally skilled with a three years of experience in Director of Photography and video editing. He has experience shooting big commercials to documentaries for NGO’s and Brands but this was his first short film that he has ever directed on his own.
The short film is very close to my heart. It is about my people, my language and where I belong. Its disappearing day by day. Therefore I wanted to make a short film about this to keep myself reminded of who I am. With the help of my little production team, we pulled of to make this happen. Even though we didn't get enough time to shoot or edit it properly but we are really happy with the results.
