Friedrich Kießling was born in 1997 in Dresden, where he grew up. Preparatory for studies he joined an internship in the animation school Fantasia Dresden e.V. and Balance Film GmbH, where he worked as compositor and colorist on two animated films. At the same time, he was active in the youth jury of the Filmfest Dresden.
Since October 2016 Friedrich Kießling has been studying at the Filmuniversity Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF in the Department of Animation (BA). In the summer of 2017, he went to Lucerne University to attend the six-week 3D animation Master class LUMAA. 2018 he did an additonal internship in the Blue Spirit Production Studios in Angoulême (France) and worked on a 3D animated TV series.
Afterwards he began to work on his own graduation film "Little Karl and the Elephants".
