LIGHT FOR THE YOUTH
Se-yeun is a manager at a company called 'Human Network' and lives with her daughter Mi-rae. Her company manages collecting overdue credit card bills, and recently corporate has been pressuring her due to her low numbers.
Mi-rae is trying to go to a larger company while working at a small enterprise as an intern, but keeps failing. Continuous failure makes her depressed. Se-yeun is frustrated with her daughter Mi-rae, and gives her advice that only pressures her more.
June, a commercial high school student, wants to be a photographer but works at Se-yeun's call center as a student intern for the money. The emotional toll from being pressured to make more calls by his team manager and calling people to pay their bills is too high for young June.
One day June disappears leaving a suicide note and since then a series of mails are delivered to Se-yeun.
In the course of finding the cause of June’s disappearance, Se-yeun realizes what she has done wrong to him. And finally understands Mi-rae’s suffering and reconcile with her.

SHIN Su-won had begun working on her feature directorial debut since 2010.
The self-produced independent film Passerby #3, released in 2010, was derived from her own experiences as a
thirty-something woman trying break into the industry and become a filmmaker . Passerby #3 won the JJ-Star
Award at the 11th
Jeonju International Film Festival and the Best Asian-Middle Eastern Film award at the 23rd
Tokyo International Film Festival.
Her next project was the short film Circle Line, was invited to participate in the 65th Cannes Critic’s Week Film
Festival and won the Canal+ Prize for best short film.
Pluto, Shin's sophomore feature, was a 2013 thriller that explores the competitive nature of the Korean education
system.
It premiered at the 17th Busan International Film Festival, and Shin received a special mention at the Generation
14plus Section of the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival. And Pluto was released named by Sunueng in
France 2014.
In 2015, her third feature Madonna was invited to screen in the Un Certain Regard section of the 68th Cannes
Film Festival and her fourth feature Glass Garden premiered as opening film of 22nd Busan International film
festival.
