LARP THE MOVIE is a captivating coming-of-age story that blends humor and intelligence to explore the trials of adolescence, the journey to independence, and the pursuit of dreams while staying true to oneself. Sergius, a 17-year-old often dismissed as a loser, finds solace and strength in live action role-playing (LARP) games. Alongside his friends, he escapes into a fantastical world of epic battles and heroic quests. However, at school, they hide their passion to avoid bullying.
Everything changes when Helena, a new girl who shares his love for LARP and fantasy books, arrives at school. Enchanted by her, Sergius is determined to win her heart, even though she quickly becomes part of the popular crowd. To prove his worth and fight for love in real life, Sergius must confront his family, his biggest school adversary, and most importantly, his own fears and insecurities.

Director Biography - Kordian Kadziela

A graduate of the production and direction organization of WSRiTV in Katowice. Member of the Polish Filmmakers Association.
Creator of short films: "Fusy" (including the Grand Prix Etiuda & Anima 2017), "Szczękościsk" (Main Award in the Competition Young Cinema at the Feature Film Festival in Gdynia 2016), "Larp" (awarded at festivals in Barcelona, St. Petersburg, among others Brno, Brest), "Muka!" (Including the "Debut Award" at the festival in Ann Arbor and Audience Award "Etiuda & Anima"). Director of advertising promos and music videos. Director Statement

LARP is aimed at teenagers - an age group heavily neglected when it comes to film offerings. We touch on topics that are relevant to today's youth - difficulties in communicating with peers, being an outsider in a group, searching for one's own identity, trying to find a common language with parents, living in a broken family, and finally sexual initiation.
I tried to include all important and difficult topics in a form as attractive as possible for young viewers. My short film on the subject titled "LARP" from 2014 achieved great interest and success. We are sure that the full-length version of the film "Larp" will achieve commercial as well as artistic success.
TFP has extensive experience in producing films for both adults (The Getaway King) and families (Behind Blue Door). Canal Plus Poland was involved in the production and we received a grant from the Polish Film Institute and the Mazovian Regional Fund. We have the means to produce the film completely in Poland, but we want to make it more worldly by making an English version.
