The works to compete must tell stories related to the world of work and of the workers or address the industrial environment and heritage
All short and feature-length films of national and international production, produced after 2018, may compete.
Fiction, advertising, institutional or journalistic reports are not allowed.
Each author can submit as many works as he or she wishes, as long as they comply with the conditions established in these rules.
The inscription of a film must be made by the individuals or legal entities that hold the rights over the works they present.
Both the countries of production and the nationality of the director can be any. If the dialogues are in a language other than Basque or Spanish, they MUST HAVE SPANISH OR BASQUE SUBTITLES

Selection:
A selection group will be responsible for choosing, among all the films received, those works that will participate in the LAN Festival. The selected works will be screened in the festival edition that will take place in the month of October 2024
The reception of the works does not imply their inclusion in the official program.
Once a film has been selected, it can not be withdrawn from the festival. Applying to the festival implies assuming all the rules.
Transfer of Exhibition rights:
All the pre-selected participants of feature films and short films assign to the ORGANIZER the rights of exhibition of the Work during the course of the LAN Festival, as well as the use of frames, photographs and extracts of the films for their diffusion in any communication medium and promotion, in order to promote and disseminate the Festival.
The received and selected works will remain as material of the Festival's video library, so the owners of the rights authorize LAN to exhibit the films during the event and may be presented at various traveling events of the festival in other cities and countries for strictly cultural and educational purposes.

Las obras a concursar deberán narrar historias relacionadas al mundo del trabajo y de los/las trabajadores/as o abordar el entorno y patrimonio industrial.
Podrán concursar todas aquellas películas de cortometraje y largometraje de producción nacional e internacional, producidas a partir del 2018.
No se admiten películas de ficción, publicitarias, institucionales o reportajes periodísticos.
Cada autor/a podrá presentar tantos trabajos como desee, siempre y cuando cumplan con las condiciones establecidas en estas bases.
La inscripción de una película deberá ser realizada por las personas físicas o jurídicas que posean los derechos sobre las obras que presentan.
Tanto los países de producción como la nacionalidad del director/a pueden ser cualquiera. Si los diálogos son en otro idioma diferente al euskera o español deberán llevar subtítulos en alguno de estos dos idiomas.
Inscripción
La inscripción se hará a través de la plataforma Festhome (https://festhome.com) o FilmFreeway.
Selección
Un comité de selección se encargará de elegir, entre todas las películas recibidas, aquellas obras que participarán finalmente en el Festival LAN.
Las obras seleccionadas serán proyectadas en la edición 05 del festival que se realizará en el mes de octubre de 2024.
La recepción de los trabajos no implica su inclusión en la programación oficial.
Una vez seleccionada, la película no podrá ser retirada del festival.
Cesión de derechos de exhibición
Todos los participantes pre-seleccionados de largometrajes y cortometrajes ceden a la ORGANIZACIÓN de LAN Festival los derechos de exhibición de la obra durante el transcurso del Festival LAN 05, así como el uso de fotogramas, fotografías y extractos de las películas para su difusión en cualquier soporte de comunicación y promoción a fin de promover y difundir el Festival.
Los trabajos recibidos y que sean seleccionados permanecerán como material de la videoteca del Festival LAN, por lo que los propietarios de los derechos autorizan a LAN para exhibir los cortometrajes durante el evento y podrán ser presentados en diversos eventos itinerantes del propio Festival en otras ciudades y países con fines estrictamente culturales y educativos.
