Director Statement

I chose to write and Direct this story because the choliyar (Kumaoni Folk dance) its music fascinates me from my childhood,  it gets the goosebumps when i used to heard it. So i just wanted to tell a story which has a element of this choliya dance.
While watching this film i wanted the viewers to experience the different world of interiors of village of kumaon,  the art and culture as well as the thought process of the society  in today's modern world. The voice of women empowerment in the villages of Uttarakhand, girls still faces the problem of gender inequality .
Some of the challenges while making this  film was to collect funds , nobody supported us to raise funds neither the cultural groups, nor the local businessmen, cultural department of govt,  nobody.
Working with these non actors was special because it was a challenge for me to convey my thought to them and it was surprising for me getting their unpredictable raw responses, which helps the film to maintain rawness to the story to some extent.
Working with this crew was fun because most of them was from plains area of the different states, and they for a one month they were struggling with full dedication in the mountains of Uttarakhand to make this film happen with full passion.
We were fortunate to get the equipment
This film will always be a special to me because i had captured a world from i come and converted it into a film .
This film turned out to be different than the script because the lack of crew members which affect the time and management of schedule
We had some delays creating this film because heavy rainfall in the month of September in Uttarakhand.
We were fortunate to raise the funds for this film by our family members,  relatives and our friends.
The experience of working on this film will help.me out in future projects in both the  creative and business aspects of the filmmaking .
