As a seasoned filmmaker with multiple accolades , I strive to imbue my films with a profound reflection on the power of art and storytelling as currencies for enriching the human experience.
With over fifteen years of collaborative and individual work in the film industry, I have passionately engaged in a diverse array of socially conscious interdisciplinary projects. Over the past decade, I have demonstrated my prowess in producing compelling video content across various sectors, from humanitarian aid and development to healthcare and education, garnering acclaim both locally in Kenya and on the global stage.
My creative journey has seen me master the craft of visual storytelling through a range of mediums, including theatre productions, documentaries, and fiction films, each addressing pressing socio-economic issues in regions such as Uganda, Tanzania, and my homeland of Kenya. Alongside my artistic endeavors, I have collaborated with esteemed NGOs such as FilmAid International, the World Food Program, Windle Trust Kenya, Population Services Kenya, and AMREF Health Africa, utilizing film as a powerful tool for social change.
Notably, I have also helmed award-winning Kenyan television series, including the critically acclaimed "Pendo" (2014-2016) and "Pray & Prey" (2014), further solidifying my reputation as a versatile and impactful storyteller. Moreover, my commitment to children's education and entertainment led me to collaborate with Sesame Street Workshop for three consecutive years, enriching my storytelling repertoire with invaluable experience in engaging and empowering young audiences.
Through my work, I aspire to continue leveraging the transformative potential of cinema to shed light on pressing issues and inspire meaningful dialogue and action.
