Experiencing Interruptions?

Kung Fool

Kung Fool is a satirical, action short set within the framework of a nostalgic martial arts genre that relies on shock humour to convey its binary constructs of ignorance and knowledge. It can also be seen as commentary on society's ever-growing reliance on tools and gadgets as opposed to being able to wield our own brains and brawn.

Director Statement

Amateur Hour Continues:

- Filmed all on an iPhone 6s with no attachments/enhancements because budget.
- Shot in 4K only to be transcoded back to 1080p because someone forgot their computer can't even run the intense graphics of minesweeper.
- Obviously the VFX can be compared to a preschooler's crayon drawing but I hear if you watch it over and over and over again... like about 24 hours straight's worth, then you'll learn to appreciate said preschooler's drawing more.

I suppose I was curious if you could make something borderline cinematic with minimal technical resources... your response will determine what kind of example this film will fall into.
