Krista hails from Portland, Oregon, but before closing her umbrella on the drizzly Pacific Northwest, she secured a BA and MA in English Literature from Portland State University. She then headed straight to Fukuoka, Japan, where she kicked off classroom discussions with topics ranging from McDonald’s (not-so) Happy Meal to Courtney Love’s plagiarism of Nirvana’s music to justice for Hello Kitty. After returning to the states, Krista immediately discovered and fell in love with MotoGP, the premier class of motorcycle racing, and created The House of Racing in order to grow the American market for the European-based sport. After the tragic death of America's 2006 World Champion and MotoGP Legend, Nicky Hayden, Krista spent a year learning the art of screenwriting in order to get Nicky's story up on the big screen. Every Sunday, nine months out of the year, you’ll still find her praying at the Church of Motorsports, à la the fastest boys on two wheels. She also worships haute couture, agrees with pretty much every word that comes out of Dr. Sam Harris’ mouth and thrives on chasing races around the world. She currently resides in Hawaii where she continues to write. A lot.
