I am an independent filmmaker from Arunachal Pradesh.
I was selected as one among the First Film Fellows for Dharamshala International Film FestivaL-2014 for the film ‘Walking with the City’. I was the Director cum Script Writer of the film and the film was screened at ‘Arunachal Film Festival 2014’, ‘Akhra-Tribal India Festival 2013’, ‘Dharamshala International Film Festival-2014’ and ‘Film NorthEast 2016’.
My documentary film titled Ngok Miri dekke Yoyo-Gaga Goktuanam Kidding (Those Songs & Lullabies I used to sing) won the Best Documentary Film Award in the 5th Arunachal Film Festival 2018. The film was Officially Selected for New Delhi Film Festival 2018, Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2019, Slemani International Film Festival 2019 & Borderland Narratives Film Festival 2019. The film was also screened at the 7th “Days of Ethnographic Cinema” Festival 2018 held in Moscow from 25-29th September 2018, “Tribal Literature Festival” held at Bhopal 2018 & 11th International Conference of North-East Indian Linguistic Society at Kokrajhar, Assam 2020.
I have made 2 documentary films for the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), GoAP and North East Council Shillong on Bugun and Miji tribes of Arunachal Pradesh in 2019.
Made two documentary films titled ‘Jaan Hai Toh Jahan Hai’ & ‘Jeetna Abhi Baki Hai’ for DIPR for creating awareness on COVID-19 in 2020 and for creating awareness about COVID-19 vaccine drive by the state government in 2021. The film is also broadcasted in Doordarshan and Arun Prabha.
I have voluntarily made a music video ‘Hum Honge Khamiyab’ for the DIPR dedicating the frontline warrior or COVID-19 Fighters. The music video is also being used by MyGov for creating awareness about COVID-19.
I have also Voluntarily made one music video ‘Hum Jeetenge’ on COVID-19 for Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh in 2020.
I was the Cinematographer of the short film called “The Bag”, which won the Best Film in the 3rd Arunachal Film Festival-2015.
I was the Winner of the first Frontier Films Award 2015 organized by late Taro Chatung and the state government.
I was the Editor cum Cinematographer of the film ‘Innocent Truth’, runners up of the ‘Arunachal Film Festival 2014’.
I have also made three documentary films for UNDP India namely “A Gift, A Life” (Upper Subansiri), “A Gift, A Life” (Lower Subansiri) and “Sartang...the people from sky”.
I was one of the Film Curator of the film festival ‘Borderland Narratives 2019’ held at Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh.
I was the Assistant Director of the music video “Tears of the Wizard” featuring one of the oldest music band Parikrama. The music video was produced by the Department of Tourism, GoAP for promoting Mechuka as a tourist destination.
I was the cinematographer of a docu-drama film project titled ‘Hope’ on Domestic Violence which was commissioned by the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) in the year 2017.
