The question I set out to answer with this film is whether falling on hard times makes us stronger or weaker.
Do we take shortcuts, despite moral beliefs, or do we stay strong and do the right thing?
I was interested in the idea of finding a winning scratch card and questioning what I would do. Would I cash it in? Almost certainly... but what might prevent me. What if I knew the rightful owner? But... what if I didn't like that guy?
The world of Knock Me Down is one of ruin. The environmental backdrop is a faded dream where small businesses struggle to survive and honest work is sparse. The main characters are affected by tough times and survive in different ways.
How do our biases and prejudice form our opinions on right and wrong?
