Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Klimovski is an award winning writer and director whose work is deeply rooted in his Queer identity and continental upbringing.
In 2018, he produced a documentary series called "Trans in America," a collaboration with the ACLU and Little by Little Pictures. This groundbreaking series, which delves into the diverse experiences of the trans community, earned Klimovski a News and Documentary Emmy Award for the episode "Kai Shappley: Texas Strong."
In that same year, Klimovski also won a Webby and Telly award, both for digital series he created for brands like Vanity Fair, them, and Teen Vogue.
In 2021, Klimovski released his debut narrative short film, "Love, Sick," a coded-exploration of Queer relationships during the AIDS epidemic in the 80s. The film garnered much acclaim and was selected for esteemed film festivals, including the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts, Vaughn International Film Festival, and Dumbo Film Festival, also placing in competition at Flickers' Rhode Island Film Festival.
Klimovski's latest project ATTAGIRL! is a short film that reinvents silent cinema, placing a trans lead front and center.
