Kiyoshi and the Ghost - WGAWEST Registry - registration number: 1944232
Kiyoshi and the Ghost is a light hearted tale set in contemporary Japan and tells how the ghost of Bartholomew, an English sea captain murdered four or so hundred years ago, seeks the aid of Kiyoshi, a timid nerdy Japanese school teacher to help him gain eternal peace. It is imperative that Bartholomew’s remains, now covered by a ladies convenience are buried at sea within a limited time frame accompanied by a small religious service. Kiyoshi lacks even the courage to ask the girl he loves, Kaoru Endo, for a date let alone undertake a venture with an entity from the "other side".
