Kite Film Fest is an annual short film festival in Destin, Florida.

Short films of all genres are welcome, however, they must be either in or subtitled in English.

The deadline for submission is September 16th 2019. Shorts will be reviewed by a committee, and then the selections will be notified and screened as part of Kite Film Fest.

Kite Film Fest will be a free, open to the public event to take place November 9th 2019 at Club LA, in Destin Florida. Please consider marking yourself as ‘going’ on the Facebook event page. https://www.facebook.com/events/2097330067240159/

We do give out a variety of awards determined by our committee, as well as an audience pick for best film.

Rules & Terms

By sharing your film, you are authorizing us to screen it at our event and accompanying selection committee screening.

All films must have the download option toggled. For the committee process, we have to download ALL potential films in advance. If we are unable to download your film, it will not be included in the selection process or the festival itself.

By submitting you also are confirming that you retain the rights to characters, stories, music, and all aspects of the short.
