Kitchen Diaries
Kitchen Diaries is an experimental film that takes place in one nineteen-minute static shot in the author’s kitchen. In the kitchen, seemingly trivial and unrelated things happen, such as rolling a lid, boiling tea or finding ice. The only colorful part of the scene is an old brass coffee grinder, which symbolizes the author’s personality and past. The film is an open and honest expression of the author’s vision of the world, his life, emotions and thoughts. The film is also a challenge to attention and curiosity for the viewers, who are confronted with an unusual and ambiguous form of film language.

Kitchen Diaries is a film about me. It is a film that I made for myself, to satisfy my need to express myself in a filmic way. It is a film that shows how I see the world, how I live, how I feel and how I think. It is a film that is so open and honest that it surprises me. It is a film that challenges the viewers to pay attention and to be curious, to look beyond the surface and to find meaning in the seemingly trivial and unrelated things. It is a film that invites the viewers to enter my kitchen and my mind.
