Kintsugi (金継ぎ) "Repair with gold":

Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with powdered gold, welding the fragments together
The practice comes from the idea that from the imperfection and from a wound can be born an even greater form of aesthetic and interior perfection.

Kintsugi is the story of two souls trying to put the pieces of their relationship back together during a hot summer night.

Director Biography - Nico Malaspina

Born in Milan in 1989, he attends the NUCT Academy at the Cinecittà studios branch Directing.
Back in Milan, he directs the TV format "Il Posto delle Fragole" for Sky Art, produced by Maremosso, a production company owned by Luca Lucini.

His passion for music and art allows him to continue working close to these two worlds: he directs different formats for Classica HD, the Live @ Quiet Please season for Sky Arte, the documentary "Il Napoleone" for Brera and the second unit of "L’Ultimo Tempio", docufilm about the Scala Theater directed by Luca Lucini with Luca Bigazzi’s cinematography.
Between 2015 and 2016, he directs the film "Leonardo da Vinci - the genius in Milan" produced by Rai and Skira Editore, distributed by Nexo Digital.

Close to the storytelling path, he gets in touch with the advertising world, starting to direct commercials.
Sky, Ichnusa, Samsung, Philips, Pavesi, Granarolo and Radio Deejay are some of the clients he worked with.

In 2017 he directs and co-produces the short movie 35Hz, episode of the serie "I Mostri 2.0" created and produced by Luca Jankovic with Box Vision.
During the same year he co-directs with Luca Lucini the short movie "Io, te e David", for David of Donatello 2017 with Valerio Mastandrea, Luca Argentero and Alessandro Cattelan.
In 2018 He Directs his latest Short Movie "Kintsugi (金継ぎ)".

In 2016 he fonds Grizzly Collective, a working group that develops projects close to the production companies.
The collective also produces its own productions, having all the necessary figures for development: from the creative and pre-production phase to the finalization.
